Memory
The piece "Memory" explores the sense of sight and the capacity for memory. It's an interplay between inner and outer perception. Our everyday lives are saturated with visual stimuli. How can we cope with this overabundance of stimuli? How consciously can we perceive what we see triggers within us and how it shapes our memories? Or are we hopelessly at the mercy of our sense of sight? In "Memory," five dancers choreographically investigate how what we see influences our memory and how memories, in turn, shape our perception of the present moment. The choreography is based on stylistic devices and imagery from Concrete Art.
